Sean won over 100 chess trophies in his 12 years (including the 2005 Western States 6th Grade Championship) before his final battle against leukemia. His fund pays for classes, tournament entry fees, and materials for eager chess students as well as a program at Children's Hospital Los Angeles that teaches chess to patients there and provides them with tons of cool chess stuff!
